Now I got Stage Right taken care of (though I had to move Rin to stage Left) which is populated by co-stars and Ritsuko as a manager figure.
That now means that Stage Left should be more like the service area.
If Stage Right tells the story of other girls looking on with a combination of lust or haughtiness in not having to strip down and jam sex toys down their holes…you know the “am I glad I don’t have to do that onstage” story, then Stage Left can suggest Airin’s in for a long night once that stage is packed with horses, sex toys, and whatever ecchi things you can suggest even without having a scene of it.
Stage Left is still being worked on, so nothing is set in stone yet. One idea I’m thinking of (regardless if they’re going to have a scene of it or not) is having some people calibrating a sex machine.
Now I do remember there was a cinematography technique regarding suggestion, where telling becomes more powerful than showing. I forgot the name but this funny scene here shows it.
When you work that suggestion vividly enough, sometimes it’s not even necessary to show it at all.
Which I know sounds kinda funny; an ecchi video that doesn’t show? But there IS value in not showing some things. In this context, it implies there was a lot more about to happen even after the video ends. Project May Ep.2 and Karen Project B tried to this, but fell flat on it’s face. The previous vid that did it successfully was Iron Loli when the camera panned up to show that there was long day ahead, as well as Project May Ep.1 where it suddenly cut to the shocked expressions of the viewers.
So I think in order to create that impression, the motions shouldn’t stop. May striking a pose in Ep.2 and Airin doing the same in Yuri Night Concert suggested that was it, while sure the latter can be interpreted as just a short break (I mean, what kind of concert does only one song?) it still felt conclusive.
Even Karen Project B just felt like an encore as opposed to a start of festivities.
What I should aim for, is to end the video with the feeling that there was still more to come.
Another thing I think I should work on is Airin’s regular SFW show. One idea is she’s simply wearing a costume over her usual appearance. However there’s also a merit if she just hops onto stage as is, since we already have contrast with the other performers.
Which means I need to get the plot straightened out.
Welp, time to get back to work, Stay wiggly!
