Making the Transition Scenes fun

So for the past couple of days I’ve been watching a few vids of actual models. Now I have set my expectations that it’s only in porno would they get really suggestive with that stuff. So I wasn’t disappointed when the most daring they would ever do is the occassional back view of a nude shot or the “topless but covering up with the hands” trick.

By itself, such a shot of Karen may be seen as rather generic, but viewed as a whole, it is a good transition. Having her strip onstage is one thing but let’s be honest, it’s been nearly five years since everyone’s been clamoring for clothes being realistically removed. Now that is understandable, there was just an explosion of magically disappearing clothes back then that the idea of polygons in the shape of clothes bending and stretching to create the illusion that they are being removed was such a novelty and everyone wanted to make one.

So in my defense, being one of the major pioneers of it,  I think I should be allowed some skipping instead, and just show her in progressively less clothing or something.

My idea was, while Karen hit the dressing room to change the perverted hosts would suddenly play her clips from the dark side. What do you mean why does she need to hit the dressing room when she needs to just shed her clothes? Silly you, a classy girl like Karen would have a severe panic attack if she sees even an unsightly wrinkle on her dress.

That and I think it does need a short breather, a more tranquil scene before heading straight to the non-stop fun parts.

Regrettably, I’ve only realized this part now, especially since my videos tend to be thrice the lenght of most other videos. I think it does need transitions that aren’t too interesting and bombastic otherwise they all just meld into each other with no clear distinction. I think it does need the much-seen motions that while not new are still sexy to behold because otherwise, too much new content and too much intensity just tires out the viewer.

I look back at some of my favorite sequels in both games and movies and find that most of the time I enjoy the moment when they do echo the earlier times. It’s not new, but after all that barrage of new and exciting things, it’s nice to fall back every once in a while towards the good old references.

One way to see this is…when you have just a lineup of smashing brand new things one after another it starts to look to the viewer just a list of new things for them to evaluate as interesting, mediocre, or bad as opposed to taking in the scenery as it should be.

It’s like a buffet, of course you want to try the new things but eventually it’s nice to fill up on some good old comfort food after all the sampling is done.

I’ve said before that a work should be seen as a whole as opposed to just one element and everything else as just garnish. For MMD videos, to me, the background is just as important as the foreground

Whether it’s to strongly contrast two opposing concepts or to accentuate it…or even both, that can happen.  Loli Miku in a cute room full of teddy bears, glitter,  and stuff that make muscle men explode in horror, that accentuates the model, and yet at the same time when she does the old-in out, it’s a contrast.

And there’s your quantum physics right there, a parallel dimension where both dischord and harmony blend in. It’s a Triptych; a single image yet at the same time shows three distinct images. This is the effect when you put equal importance both minor and major elements together.

Back to work for me, I just need to complete a couple of short clips and I can start working on the payoff scenes.

  1. Getting clothing to drape realistically is an extremely challenging task. Skipping over that doesn’t sound like a bad idea. Transitioning between her tame and trashy stage acts by having Karen duck into a changing room allows you to avoid that headache while the pause in the action heightens the shock value of seeing her back on stage completely nude. I couldn’t agree more. Given the collection of lame boring acts that precede Karen’s the audience might well believe that the panty flashing is the extent of the naughtiness. They couldn’t be more wrong and are in for the shock of their lives! I like it; it also solves the problem of where did the dildos come from 🙂
Big congrats on achieving your 400th time in the rankings!
