Teaser (?) of Karen’s Project
So here’s how Karen’s Project looks with the current set of filters, so let me know how it looks, especially if you grew up in the 80’s or have been exposed to enough material to let me know if it passes muster
Ultimately I am aware that the filters and retro-theming aren’t everything in this project but it’s better to do things correctly as much as possible. You know how it goes when it comes to visual media, little details are vital, as well as elements of logic. When you go for a certain look, it’s important to stick to it throughout. So I can’t go for a grainy color corrected look then haphazardly shift to a clean looking modern look without any rhyme or reason.
So assuming at this point you’ve already seen the video, I’m not really sure of using that costume since it doesn’t make a lick of sense to use that technology. I mean, she’s from a space age era, and she’s supposedly moving to one that’s more like fantasy…and she’s using contemporary tech? Why not bows and arrows and a sword if she’s trying to mix in with the crowd?
This kind of discrepancy could work if this was say, a fake gameplay video like Terragaia and the player just picked some DLC costume.
Sounds like a good idea but i do have some reservations… mainly… i don’t feel like blocking the screen, especially the dancing scenes with some kind of rhythm game overlay.
I’ll experiment around to see what works.
