The Pre-Show Locker Room Scene
Starting off the locker room scene is the girls havin a look at their performing costume, allowing for a stage of undress to build up from being clothed to nude then in costume.
Going back to building up a premise of the girls (or girl, depending on the project) willingly doing such a sexy show has always been a fascination for me, things like what are their motivations? What are the circumstances? And how do you do that without words because text for me… well call me old-fashioned but text is best in static pictures…and I’m not a very good writer when it comes to dialogue.
Next up is them working on their motions, where the girls modify their motions accordingly to the “guidelines”.
Next up was working on the scene of all of them practicing, for this scene, I just staggered the dance animation at different speeds. I want to show a difference between the disorganized practice and simple uninteresting stage and contrast it to their show with the perfect sync and first-class decorations.
i’m keeping various arrangements as ideals pile up, while the genres or music or themes may vary, as far as sounds go its divided into two main ideas: with ambience and without.
Ambience type videos (i.e. using crowd sounds and other foley bits) sound better in general because of the nice effect the increased bass and crystal clear reverb effects and it really feels way more alive. However the principal disadvantage of using ambience is that it can feel very linear.
Non-Ambience on the other hand can allow for various montages and different scenery shifts. Not that ambient videos can’t do the same thing but it feels very limited. Why? Let me give you an example.
For a video about a live band playing, the most you can capture is just whatever is going on in the area right now. You can capture the band playing, and the crowd partying and they all occupy the same timeline with each other. For a non-ambient video, which is what most music videos are, you can stretch space and time to this:
I’ll worry about that when I finish crafting all the scenes I need. It’s getting along nicely, like watching a struction being built brick by brick, from random logs to a load-bearing wall, from a bunch of walls to a support for the ceiling, from roof to a gabled top.
